Hannah Schultz has been around horses since she was seven years old. She started her riding career in the English discipline, focusing on jumping. Under Mary Roskens of Mary-Go-Round Stables, Hannah learned to handle many different types of horses. Her specialty was riding the more stubborn or green horses, the ones that usually didn't get picked for lessons. Hannah took on the role of the "Guinea Pig Rider", testing out horses the owner's daughter had trained for lesson horses and seeing if they were ready to be put into the lesson program. As the years went on, Mary taught Hannah the training basics and her interest in becoming a trainer began! Hannah started assisting Mary and her other riders at local shows as a groom and cool down rider. She eventually started showing as well. Her first showing experience was through the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) in 2012-2013, showing the walk, trot, canter division. Hannah made it all the way to nationals with her team! In the fall of 2013, Hannah met Denise Webber of Nottawa Paint Horse Farm. As the coach of the Albion College Stock Seat Team, Denise persuaded Hannah to join, and her show career continued. Hannah was part of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association for the 2013-2014 school year. Eventually, Hannah figured out that she could intern with Denise and receive school credit for it. In her final year of college, Hannah interned with Denise, learning how to train young or stubborn horses through the natural horsemanship techniques that Denise taught her. Now, after graduating college, Hannah is ready to train horses as a full time career at Nottawa Paint Horse Farm. Experience
